WEDDING WEEKEND ITENERARY

Thursday, October 17th
Evening: Tuxedos to be picked up at Gary's Tux Shop, Inland Center Mall, San Bernardino

Friday, October 18th
Afternoon: Flowers arrive at Marcus' house (helpers may be needed)
6:00 PM: Family Vespers and Supper at Baldwins'

Saturday, October 19th
1:00 PM (approximately): Family Luncheon at Marcus' Place
5:30 PM: Rehearsal Dinner (preceded by evening worship)
7:45 PM: Rehearsal at the Church

Sunday, October 20thThe Big Day!
9:00 AM: Bridesmaids arrive at church for hair and makeup
1:00 PM: Wedding Pictures
2:30 PM: Ceremony Participants and Helpers report to Positions
3:00 PM: Wedding Ceremony
The Ceremony will be immediately followed by the Reception on the terrace behind the church, near the parking lot. If the weather is rude and nasty (pray it is splendidly benign, please!), it will be moved into the adjacent "Pathfinder Room."
7:00 PM (approximately): Marcus and Emily depart in showers of Lavender

FAMILY VESPERS AND SUPPER

Our relatives are invited to enjoy participating in music, fellowship and pasta dinner at Bob and Margaret Baldwin's place in Claremont. This event will commence at about six o' clock in the evening.

The address is 785 Occidental Drive. Here are the directions: If you are coming from the East, exit the 10 Freeway at Mountain Avenue or Central Avenue. Proceed North to Foothill Boulevard, and turn left (West). Stay on Foothill about two miles until you reach Mountain Avenue in Claremont (A different Mountain Avenue), and turn right (North). Proceed through 2 traffic lights, and then watch for Occidental Drive, where you must turn right. The Baldwins' is the second house on the left. From the West take the Towne Avenue exit off the 10, and proceed North to Foothill Boulevard. Turn right (East) and proceed to Mountain Avenue. Turn left on Mountain, go through two lights, then turn right on Occidental Drive. Your destination is the second house on the left.

FAMILY LUNCHEON

If you are related to us, you may also join us for a Sabbath lunch of soup. Attendence at this meal will also afford you the chance to see the little Loma Linda house where Marcus and Emily will be living for the next few years.

To reach 11224 Rosarita Drive from the West, exit the 10 Freeway at Waterman Avenue South. Turn left onto Redlands Boulevard at the end of the ramp and be sure you are in the right lane. Turn immediately right onto Waterman. Proceed through a few traffic signals until the road comes to a "T" (about a mile) at Barton Road. Turn Left. Turn left at your very next opportunity on University Avenue. Take the first right onto Rosarita. The street bends, and the house is on the outside of the elbow.

If you are coming from the East, we hope you can find your way to University or Barton. From there, it's a piece of cake...or at least, a bowl of soup!

Saturday night, while we are rehearsing, others will be needed to help set things up and possibly assist Gramma Wilma Serns in arranging flowers. If you can do so, please let us know at Marc's number, 909.796.1678. Thank you!

THE REHEARSAL AND ITS DINNER

Ceremony participants will attend the rehearsal dinner at the residence of Dick and Patti Catalano in Redlands. We will have evening worship at 5:30 PM and eat before the rehearsal, as we cannot use the church until 7:30. Please dress casually.

The Catalanos live at 424 Sunnyside. To get to their home, take the Mountain View Avenue exit off the 10, and proceed South to Barton. Turn left on Barton and go a couple miles East to Terracina. Turn right (there is a traffic signal). You will pass the Redlands Community Hospital. Turn left on Fern (a stop sign). Proceed about two blocks to Sunnyside and turn right. The first driveway on the right is theirs.

The rehearsal itself will be at the church. All ceremony participants should be present. Directions to the church are on the main wedding page.

Again, during the rehearsal, it would be most helpful to have people available to set things up and possibly assist Gramma Wilma Serns in arranging flowers. If you'd like to be one of those people please let us know at 909.796.1678. Thank you!

FOR BRIDESMAIDS

Bridesmaids need to arrive in time for the rehearsal dinner (you may bring a guest), but are welcome to show up sooner. After the rehearsal, the bridesmaids (and a few other girls) will be going to Rachel Anderson's house for a sleep-over and batchelorette party. If you have any movies, games, or activity ideas, please bring them along. Keep in mind, though that this will be a short party; bedtime is 11:00, because the ladies need their beauty rest! Some other girlfriends will be making a hearty biscuit breakfast for the women of the wedding party, because they are likely to only get granola bars or something for lunch (you might want to bring some). The bridesmaids will have their hair and makeup done at the church by Diane Serns at 9:00 AM sharp. Do not forget to bring your dress, shoes, scarves, etc. There probably will not be time to go back for them. Everyone must be scorchingly gorgeous in time for the wedding pictures at 1, and you can see the rest of the itenerary above.

FOR GROOMSMEN

Groomsmen are most welcome to bring a guest with them to the rehearsal dinner. After the rehearsal, a batchelor party for Marcus will occur. Try not to keep him out all night, as he is not allowed to fall asleep during the ceremony! Mike Eby is responsible for the party; if you need to contact him, he can be reached at his home, 909.796.2626, or on his cell, 314.8917. All the men in the wedding party should be at the church by about noon, so they can get into their tuxedoes and have their pocket squares elegantly folded by capable women - in time for pictures at 1. Speaking of tuxedoes, the tuxes will be arriving at Gary's Tux Shop in the Inland Center Mall on Thursday evening. Make sure you have been measured and had your measurements faxed to the Inland Center Gary's a few days before then. All the guys should try on their tuxedoes after the rehearsal (or sometime Friday, if possible) to be certain they will fit. Ask Marcus if you have any more questions about this.
